Ingredients
- FALAFEL:
- 2 TINS HEINZ NO ADDED SUGAR BEANZ
- 3 TBSP GRAM FLOUR
- 2 TSP CUMIN POWDER
- 2 TSP PAPRIKA POWDER
- 2 TSP GROUND CORIANDER SEEDS
- 1 TSP CHILLI POWDER
- 2 CLOVES CHOPPED GARLIC
- 1 HANDFUL FRESHLY CHOPPED PARSLEY
- 1 QUARTER LIME ZEST & JUICE
- VEGETABLE OIL
- SALAD:
- 1 SMALL RED CABBAGE
- 250 GRAMS CUCUMBER
- 250 GRAMS GRATED CARROT
- 4 TBSP APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
- SALT & PEPPER TO TASTE
- SAUCE:
- 1 TIN TOMATO SAUCE FROM HEINZ BEANZ
- 2 CLOVES CHOPPED GARLIC
- CHOPPED CORIANDER TO TASTE
- 1 TSP CHILLI POWDER
- 1 TSP TURMERIC POWDER
- 1 TSP SMOKED PAPRIKA POWDER
- 1 TBSP TAHINI
- BLACK PEPPER TO TASTE
- 1 SMALL CHOPPED FRESH TOMATO
Method
Falafel
- Drain the beans in a sieve and keep the sauce
- Mix the beans with the dry spices, garlic, lime zest & juice, herbs, and chickpea flour
- With the mixture make little balls. Fill a shallow pan with vegetable oil and fry the falafels for approximately 5 minutes. Remember to flip them halfway.
- Take out them out of the oil and enjoy
Salad
- Cut up the cabbage and cucumber. Grate the carrots and season mixture with vinegar, lime juice, salt & pepper.
Sauce
- Combine the tomato sauce from the Heinz beans with the freshly chopped tomatoes and bring to a boil.
- Add the other ingredients and mix. Season to taste
